Hello.
My name is Yale S.Y. Landsberg. Here are some things about chronobiology that your doctor probably does not know. But you should.
. An ordinary clock or watch
, even a $100k Rolex, tells your biological clock nothing! Maybe that's why the second most often asked question is, "When will you have a Synclecron watch?" The good news is that I am working on providing a free "pocket watch" mobile browser Synclecron. The bad news is that due to allocating most of my funds to this site and the donation of standalone Synclecrons, I do not know when it will be available. As you can see by now, I am not trying to sell you anything. But I am very much trying to encourage you to use your free Synclecron. And hopefully help me achieve these four very important GreenTyme project goals:
1) Increase awareness of the many different physical and mental disorders associated with biological clocks that are not properly regulating circadian rhythms.
2) Make more well known both the scientific and historical reasons
for my (easy to test on yourself) "Chronically Under-informed Bio-clock Syndrome"/"CUBS" hypothesis.
3) Bring "chrono-cognitive therapy" to
the attention of sick and well people around the world who
might be able to benefit from often seeing displays of their
"GreenTyme".
4) Encourage suggestions, and send contributions of programming time and small donations my way. Your help enables me to provide and improve the freely available on the Web Synclecron. And also provide and improve the standalone Synclecrons which I donate to Alzheimer's/Dementia Units, to sheltered workshops employing mentally challenged adults, and to science museums and schools. Plus, if you are a programmer, help me fix some bugs on my free "pocket watch" Synclecrons. As you can see below, free pocket Synclecrons that run on mobile browsers almost work. Until then, you can, of course, use your own customized to your location Synclecron on your pc or mac!
You may not be inclined to do any of that yet. Not even begin using your free Synclecron. Because the idea of a clock being curiously comforting (and maybe therapeutic) does at first seem silly. Yet as almost anything new and strange seems silly at first, you may become more open to that possibility once you know more. Especially as I am talking about the kind of "local natural time" found not only in all ancient cultures, but also found in your own past! Like the faint memory of your first day at the beach or your first sled ride in the snow, it is the kind of time you once knew and were in tune with as a small child. Just as you were forced to grow up and forget about your beloved comforting teddy bear, so too you forgot about how real bears, and honey bees and flowers -- and the real you -- need to experience time. Locally and naturally, the way sunrises and sunsets are local and natural. I cannot give you back that old friend from your past, but I can give you back the kind of local and natural time that you were born with, needed as a baby, and still need as much as anything else in your life.
So why not now take another look at the Synclecron in demo/fast mode below. And imagine for a minute why Dr. Yavuz Boray, a former World Bank economist -- who is now suffering from Pick's Disease (a pre-frontal lobe dementia) says of his Synclecron:
